Stars and Stamps card challenge #13

I joined this amazing group on Facebook Called: Operation Write Home! And it's an amazing group, where people from all over the world can make cards that will be sent to the soldiers overseas!! The cards are made to be sent to the soldiers, but the cards are blank inside so that the Soldiers can send these handmade cards to their families!! Isn't that an awesome Idea!!!! I just love it!!! To be able to make cards for the soldiers, so that they can stay in touch with their families, and to be able to send gorgeous cards is such an awesome feeling!!!! It's the least we can do for our Hero's!!!

So here is my take on Sketch Challenge #13! This is my first time joining their challenges!! It was tons of fun!!

The glittery puff ball in the top corner is by Memory Box! I used a glue pen all over it and added some gorgeous glitter!!

I used my Slice Machine to cut out some cute letters! I wanted to make a simple "HELLO" card!
I inked up the edges of the letters with vintage photo ink, by tim holtz. Love this ink!!

I added some cute Prisma flowers to the bottom corner, and used my slice again for that cute brown swirly design! Love it!!

Thank you so much for looking!!!!

  1. Hi Lindsay! You are right about the Operation Write Home. They are an amazing group of people. My sis and I have been giving handmade cards to them for many years now, it used to be called cards for heroes. I'm glad you joined in! hugs, -anthonette

  2. Linsay, beautiful card!!! Thanks for playing along with us this week at Stars and Stamps.

I'm addicted to using glitter on my cards too and wanted to give you a heads up that glitter makes our heroes detectable with night vision so Operation Write Home is unable to send any cards with glitter. Hope this helps!

  3. Thank you anthonette!!! That is awesome that you and your sister do that!!!! I'm so excited!!!!! I can't wait to make some cards for the soldiers!!!

Karen: thank you so very much on the glitter tip!!! Wow!!! I didn't even think of that!!!!! So I probably should use bling in the cards either, they would be too shiny too.
    Thanks so much!!!!
